The Indianapolis Star reports that the Indy Racing League is considering hiring an outsider as a new Chief Executive Officer. Jeff Belskus currently serves as CEO of the IRL, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and IMS Productions and Radio Network, and told the newspaper, "Jeff Belskus can play only so many roles."
Although Belskus said there "is no active search" for any of the leadership positions, the Star reports that three names have surfaced as possible candidates: Randy Bernard, CEO of Professional Bull Riders; Mark Miles, president and CEO of Central Indiana Corporate Partnerships and chairman of the 2012 Super Bowl committee; and Zak Brown, founder and CEO of Just Marketing Inc.
