Rubens BarrichelloRubens Barrichello could bring his Brazilian V8 Stock Car debut forward to encompass two extra rounds of the series.

The IndyCar driver and Formula 1 veteran confirmed on Monday that he will take part in the final round of this year's series in a Peugeot 408 run by Full Time Sports.

But in an interview with a Brazilian radio station, he hinted that he wishes to gain experience ahead of the Interlagos finale - which carries a one million Reas prize - by taking part in the preceding rounds at Curitiba and Brasilia as well.

Barrichello is due to test the car for the first time at Curitiba on October 15.

A Full Time team spokesperson told AUTOSPORT: "The first time we talked to him about it [increasing Barrichello's number of races], he didn't react positively, but by the second chat, he was already quite excited.

"He will say yes or no. And the only chance of a no would be if he hates the car."

Barrichello will race the car usually driven by Felipe Maluhy, himself a substitute for Marcos Gomes, who is currently serving a two-year ban from the series.
