Earl BamberFormer A1GP frontrunner Earl Bamber will make his Superleague Formula debut at Ordos this weekend with Porto after Alvaro Parente had to withdraw from the event due to visa problems.

Parente is still optimistic that he will be able to compete in next weekend's Beijing races, but at Ordos Bamber will get his first chance to race in the football-themed series, having commentated on it so far this year. The 20-year-old has only raced in New Zealand's Formula Toyota series in 2010.

In other late changes to the Ordos entry, Adderly Fong is having a maiden Superleague run with PSV Eindhoven, replacing his British Formula 3 rival Hywel Lloyd.

Formula Renault 3.5 driver Bruno Mendez is another debutant at Ordos, substituting for Maria de Villota in the Atletico Madrid car as the latter recovers from surgery on a lingering neck problem.
