Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said at a news conference that no injuries or widespread damage was reported in the city in the wake of Hurricane Irene, so plans for next weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix should not be affected by the storm.

The inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix, which will be held Sept. 2-4 on the 2-mile, 13-turn street circuit that abuts the Inner Harbor and Oriole Park at Camden Yards, will host the IZOD IndyCar Series and American Le Mans Series Sept. 2-4. IndyCar director of operations Bill Van de Sandt told IndyCar.com that "everything is back on schedule" for the event.
