The Grand Prix of Baltimore announced three official sponsors on Monday in advance of this year's race on Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31-Sept. 2. All three – Dr Pepper Ten, Giant Food, and Sunoco, have been signed to multiyear deals.
Dr Pepper TEN will serve as the official soft drink of the race, and Landover, Md.'s Giant Food has been named as the official grocery store partner. Saturday, Sept. 1, will be known as Dr Pepper TEN/Giant Day at the track.
Additionally, Sunoco has been named as the official fuel of the race. As in 2011, Sunoco will sponsor victory lane.
New promoters Andretti Sports Marketing took over Baltimore promotion in May, and also promoted the revival of IndyCar's Milwaukee IndyFest race in June. Dr Pepper has been an active sponsor off-and-on for Marco Andretti's Andretti Autosport entry in the IndyCar Series.
More information on the race, including ticket prices (single day tickets went on sale Monday, as well) can be found on RaceOnBaltimore.com.
