Audi moved to the front on the second day of testing for the Sebring 12 Hours on Tuesday, although its quickest times in the two one-hour sessions did not quite match the pace set by Peugeot during Monday's opening test day.
The No. 1 Audi of Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Mike Rockenfeller topped both Tuesday sessions, its morning 1m48.450sec a second clear of the opposition, and its 1m49.271sec in the second session 0.2sec ahead of the two Peugeots.
Audi's No. 2 car completed the top four, with the Highcroft HPD again the nearest challenger to the diesels, and within a second of the lead pace.
GT remained extremely close with just a few fractions of a second covering the lead group all day. The No. 04 Corvette was quickest in the first session, before the AF Corse Ferrari nosed ahead later on. Signature's ORECA-Nissan continued to dominate in LMP2.
The teams now have a day off on Wednesday before official practice commences on Thursday.
