The American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron along with Sebring International Raceway will work with the American Red Cross this weekend to encourage fans and television viewers to support the relief efforts for the Japan earthquake. Gates opened to the public Wednesday for the 59th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida, America's iconic sports car race.
The series will place signage at various locations around the track that direct fans and viewers how to use text code 9099/REDCROSS to make a contribution to the relief efforts in Japan. 100 percent of the donation will go toward relief. That text message code will also be available in select racecars supporting an in-car camera. Sebring International Raceway, in concert with the Florida Red Cross, will provide space for kiosks that will both accept contributions and provide additional information about the relief efforts.
