Jaime Alguersuari will be dropped five places on the starting grid for the Italian Grand Prix after having a gearbox replaced before qualifying.
An FIA statement issued on Saturday said that Scuderia Toro Rosso had replaced the gearbox on the Spaniard's car and, since it had not been used for four consecutive events, he would be demoted five spots on the grid.
Jarno Trulli has also had his engine changed after the third free practice session, although since it has been replaced with one of the eight new ones permitted under the regulations he would not suffer a penalty.
