Jonathan Adam has been stripped of his British Touring Car Championship victory at Brands Hatch today following a controversial incident with Jason Plato while battling for the lead of the third race.
The Motorbase Performance BMW driver was judged to have unfairly knocked Plato's Chevrolet Lacetti out of the lead and into a major slide.
Following an investigation by the race stewards, Adam had four seconds added to his race time, which dropped him to second place in the results.
Plato therefore inherits the victory on his debut weekend with the RML squad, and moves up to fourth place in the championship as a result. Adam, meanwhile, drops to fifth.
