TOPEKA, Kan. (May 1, 2007) – Driver registration for the 2007 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® Presented by AT&T is now officially open, as of May 1. The online registration system has been activated at www.scca.com, and paper entries will be accepted via mail or fax.
Information for the event, held October 8-14 at Heartland Park Topeka, is available at the Runoffs event page. To receive an entry via fax or mail, contact Wyndi McCormick at 800-770-2055, or find it in the May FasTrack®.
As was the case in 2006, reserved participant parking and motor home parking will again be available for the event. Unlike 2006, the entire system will be handled by Heartland Park, and at the conclusion of your entry process, you will have the opportunity to transfer to hpt.com to reserve your spot for $100. To minimize the amount of paddock space changes, Heartland Park will allow one change of paddock spot per entry before incurring a change fee. Spaces can be reserved through Sept. 7.
Drivers are not required to reserve a spot, and with nearly 800 paddock spaces available, there will be room for everyone. However, the system allows individuals to view the map and select spaces with their teammates and friends at the click of a mouse, without the need to send someone out days or weeks in advance to try to save space.
As has always been the case, car numbers are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and No. 1 is always reserved for the defending Champion. Combined groups throughout the week will share a pool of numbers.
Volunteer registration will open online at Noon Central, Thursday, May 3. Volunteers not wishing to utilize the online system may request a form from Andrea Cook at 800-770-2055, or find it in the May FasTrack.
