MotoGP's newest team principal, Jorge Martinez, says he wants his Aspar team to expand to a two-rider squad in the premier category by 2011. The team, which will enter a single Ducati in the 2010 MotoGP championship, has been linked to 250cc title contender Alvaro Bautista. Adriano Buzaid produced a commanding performance in atrocious conditions to claim his maiden British F3 win in a breathless second encounter at Spa today. A heavy downpour delayed the start and reduced the race distance to 11 laps, but the rain was brief and most drivers opted for slick tyres. Brazilian racer Buzaid powered into the lead from his maiden pole position, with points leader Daniel Ricciardo (Carlin) tucking into second.

Briton Bradley Smith snatched pole position on his very last lap in 125cc qualifying in front of his home crowd at Donington Park.
